Acoustic Cafe Nights

Friday 31st March. Next up for the Acoustic Cafe Nights at The Granary in Strathaven Town Mill are Gill Halliday & Harley Gillan.
Gill Halliday, is a singer-songwriter from the North of Scotland, a gifted vocalist with a powerful voice that will leave audiences breathless. Her spirited flute playing lifts the performance to new heights, displaying influences from her experience in Scottish traditional music as well as her ability to improvise, drawing inspiration from Jazz, Blues and Classical technique. Currently, collaborating with Harley Gillan, whose guitar playing is filled with Jazz tinged surprises. Together, they create a unique sound which will hold you captive for the evening.
Support is from The Mairs Family Band and Kevin Patrick.

Sunday 2nd April. Stonehouse Business Association are looking for volunteers to help with their Litter Pick between 10am – 2pm with a number of routes to be covered. A Touch Of KLASS

Thursday 13th April. With a plannedcommencement in mid-April, a regular Thursday night dance class with a difference is set to start in Stonehouse. Burlesque Chair Dance classes are a fun way to shed the pounds whilst also discovering & unleashing your inner goddess. Ladies of all ages, shapes and sizes are welcome. Over 16’s only (15 if accompanied by an adult). Classes are £6 per 1 hour session, booked in four week blocks by bank transfer.

Friday 21st April. FRETS Concerts continue to bring quality musicians to the Strathaven Hotel. James Yorkston will be performing a solo acoustic set featuring a range of songs from his extensive back catalogue. Support on the night comes from John Douglas (Trashcan Sinatras) and The Kingfishers. BBC Radio Scotland’s Vic Galloway will also be interviewing various people on stage between acts.

Bike Barn Open Day

Bike Barn are please to announce our Open Day which will include the launch of our Six 22 bike range. There will also be the opportunity to try out some Orange bikes and try out some Trials bikes. The Bike Barn team will be heading out around 3pm for a short Social Ride with the opportunity to try the new Six 22 road and gravel bikes.

A HORSE show is so much more than just a show, its like a reunion of old friends, an event. This acoustic performance shall reveal some of the songs from her long awaited new album, her 11th, destined for an autumn release.
